SecurityBaseline.eu launched on May 13, 2026, as a platform derived from the Dutch "Basisbeveiliging" to monitor cybersecurity across European governments. The initiative found significant security vulnerabilities including 3,000 governmental websites using illegal tracking cookies, over 1,000 publicly accessible database management interfaces, and 99% of governmental email using poor encryption standards. The Internet Cleanup Foundation developed this transparency tool to help governments identify and address security risks, and it currently monitors over 80,000 organizations across the EU with daily updated maps for each country and metric.
