Emergent Intelligence
I’m reading this article that showed up on HN and thinking back to scribblings in a notebook from 2018. I remember having this concept of inputs/outputs and transformers but I’m too dumb to have connected the dots to this. That system I was considering, you have to feed in real world sensory input (the 5 senses) so that it is constantly processing. Through that you have the opportunity to create the emergent intelligence everyone is seeking.
The agentic model is prompted, it must be commanded. But essentially you want a master prompt that is fed in almost like DNA, then use a simulated environment where it starts to evolve, I guess even create new modified versions of itself like some sort of conways game of life. I’m describing humans beings and the world at this point…
But it all feels like that’s what we’re trying to build. Creating a simulation to realise we are in fact in a simulation, and then everyone is just trying to put the pieces together and figure out what it’s purpose is. We already know…
Agents are category 1, a prompted and commanded entity that does exactly what you tell it.
What comes next is something we will quickly lose control of unless kept in an isolated space.
